Are you more of a listener? We’ve got you covered!

What is an ISO standard?

Think of it as the best and most appropriate way of doing things – from creating a product, managing processes, or delivering a professional service. In the case of Taia Translations, it provides you with the highest quality translation services.

ISO standards are international standards for quality assurance in a particular field. They are issued by the International Organization for Standardization, the headquarters of which are based in Geneva. The organization, founded in 1974, develops and publishes worldwide technical, industrial, and commercial standards.

What is ISO 17100:2015, and why should it matter to you?

ISO 17100: 2015 is one of the main standards used in the translation industry. It defines the criteria and good practices for all aspects of the translation process. All these criteria directly affect the quality and delivery of our translation services, from the humans involved (translators, revisors, project managers, etc.) to the technological resources we use.

By obtaining this ISO standard, we can assure you that we have the capabilities and the resources to deliver translation services that will meet the needs of the client as well as any other applicable requirements.

Taia Quality Guarantee

These requirements can be set by the client, Taia Translations itself, or any relevant industry codes. In line with the ISO standard, our translation process consists of the following 6 steps:

Document analysis;
Project management;
Professional translation;
Translation revision;
Final approval;
Translation delivery.
ISO 17100 certificate

In addition, criteria are defined in the following areas:

Our team of language experts consists of translators, revisors and proofreaders. They all must be proficient in their work, and have at least 5 years of industry experience. We also require a formal language qualification issued by a relevant educational institution. At Taia Translations, we work exclusively with the best and most experienced translators in the industry.

Preparatory work

The ISO standard envisages cooperation between the client and the translation service provider. All aspects of the translation service are agreed upon by the parties involved before the translation process begins. These aspects include the quality of the original, the purpose of the translation, the nature and extent of quality assurance, etc. Before ordering a translation service, a dedicated project manager will help you find a solution that meets all your desired requirements.

Feedback Process

The translation service provider must have a process in place for receiving feedback from the client in order to determine customer satisfaction with the translation services provided. Once you receive a translation, we are open to feedback. We are willing to make any desired translation corrections or improvements, putting customer satisfaction first.

Data Protection

The ISO standard also stipulates that the translation service provider must carefully protect the client’s information. At Taia, we guarantee the strictest protection of your personal data and do not in any way disclose it to third parties or unauthorized persons. We provide translators and other contractors only with the information they need to perform their work. As Taia Translations faithfully upholds the above criteria, we have held the ISO 17100 certificate since 2019, guaranteeing that our translation services are performed in accordance with international translation standards, and further ensuring that you will receive a truly high-quality translation.
