Professional proofreading

How do we proofread your documents?

What is professional Proofreading?

Use proofreading services of the TAIA platform to ensure your text is grammatically and terminologically consistent. Proofreading is a professional skill (text review), carried out in Slovenia by professors of the Slovene language or graduates of Slovene. Such a person is called a proofreader. In most cases, proofreading corrects grammatical and stylistic errors in the translated text, making proofreading an indispensable step in the translation process. Proofreading of original texts is also common; this includes texts in Slovene, as we often overlook our own mistakes.

Our proofreaders will take a close look at your text and make sure it is perfect, as you want it. Foreign language texts and translations will be checked by our team of proofreaders, who are all native speakers. All our proofreaders are distinguished by accuracy, experience and excellent knowledge of grammatical and stylistic rules.

TAIA also offers proofreading of various types of texts in Slovene, as well as texts prepared in a foreign language, such as professional texts, fiction, diploma and Master’s theses, web pages, texts for printing, and other texts.

After you have registered, upload the document, select the language you are translating from and the language into which you want to translate the document and place the order.

How do we ensure professional proofreading?

Take a look at the five steps our team takes to complete the proofreading process

Document Analysis and Offer

In the first phase, you provide us with the texts to be proofread. They can be uploaded via the TAIA system, sent via email, delivered in person, or sent by registered or regular mail. You can also order proofreading as a service in addition to translation. Depending on the subject matter, the size and quality of the text and the deadline, we will then give you the appropriate discount and make a final offer for proofreading.

After receiving the offer for proofreading, you need to confirm it. You can confirm the start of the proofreading process via the TAIA system or in writing via email. Proofreading begins within minutes of the confirmation of proofreading.

Proofreading is done by a proofreader who is a native speaker of the language in which the proofreading is conducted and has an appropriate education. If you are our regular customer and are satisfied with the proofreading of a specific proofreader, we guarantee that all your future texts will be proofread by the same proofreader.

Quality check

After the proofreading of the texts is finished, a quality check is carried out. The check is performed by an expert in the subject-matter who is proficient in the language in which the proofreading is conducted. If necessary, they consult with another proofreader regarding the accuracy of the proofreading.

Submission of the proofread text

After the proofreading has been completed, the text with visible corrections and a clean copy will be returned to you via the TAIA system or via e-mail.
