Taia is translation software for manufacturers that sell abroad. You upload your manuals, catalogs and datasheets once, choose every target language in the same project, and get each file back in its original format, with your product terms applied the same way in every language. Your own team reviews, or professional linguists do.

Where Translating Documentation Usually Goes Wrong

None of these are translation-quality problems. They're system problems, which is why a better translator alone doesn't fix them.

The same part has three names

Different translators, different editions, different words for the same component. Your distributor in Spain notices before you do, usually through a support ticket.

Someone rebuilds the layout by hand

The translation comes back as a Word file or a spreadsheet of sentences, and your designer spends a week pasting it into InDesign. Then does it again for the next language.

Twelve languages, twelve email threads

A vendor per market, files arriving on different days, and nobody sure which version of the French manual is the current one.

Every new edition starts from scratch

Ten percent of the manual changed, but the whole thing goes out again, and the wording your team approved last year gets rewritten by someone new.

How It Works

One Project for Every Market

AI handles the volume, your glossary handles the terminology, and people check what carries risk.

Upload the source files

Manuals, catalogs, datasheets and contracts, up to 100 files in one project.

Pick every language

Choose all the markets you sell in from one list. No project per language.

AI translates with your terms

Whole documents in context, with your glossary and translation memory applied.

Review where it matters

Colleagues check in Translation Studio, or professional linguists take the risky documents.

Download one ZIP

A folder per language, every file back in its original format.

What You Translate

The Documents Your Distributors Ask For

Everything that ships with the product, in the format your team already works in.

User and Operator Manuals

Instructions for use, installation and maintenance guides, with procedures and part names kept consistent.

Technical translation →

Product Catalogs

InDesign and Excel catalogs and price lists, returned in their own layout in every language.

Catalog translation →

Datasheets and Specifications

Spec tables where units, values and product names have to come out exactly right.

Safety Documentation

Warnings and safety instructions, where we recommend professional review on top of AI.

Contracts and Tenders

Distribution agreements, tender documents and RFQ responses, translated on deadline.

Legal translation →

Training Materials

Training for service technicians and dealers, in PowerPoint, Word or e-learning exports.

Consistency

Your Words, in Every Language, Every Edition

Two resources do the work, and they get better every time someone on your team corrects a translation.

Glossary

Your part names, product names and technical terms, each with its approved translation in every language you sell in. Taia applies the glossary whenever it translates, and names that must stay as they are (your brand, a model number) are entered once with the same spelling everywhere. One glossary covers all your languages. How glossaries work →

Translation memory

Every sentence your team approves is stored and reused. In next year's edition, the unchanged text comes back in the wording you already signed off, so reviewers only look at what's new. AI translation still uses credits for every word; on professional translation, memory matches are billed at a discount. How translation memory works →

Review

Match the Review to the Risk

An internal training deck and a safety warning don't need the same treatment. Pick per document.

Your own team

The people who know the product check the AI translation in Translation Studio. Assign a language to a colleague, they review and submit, and every correction goes into your translation memory attached to the project, ready for next time.

Included in the Pro plan, with glossaries, translation memory and Advanced AI.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I translate one manual into many languages at once?

Yes. Create one project, upload up to 100 files, and pick every target language you need from the same list. Taia translates them all in one run, and you download one ZIP with a folder per language, each file in the format you uploaded. A 20-language release is one project, not twenty.

Will the layout of our manuals and catalogs survive translation?

Taia translates the file itself, so tables, styles and layout stay in place. That covers InDesign (IDML, on the Pro plan), Word, Excel, PowerPoint and 60+ other formats. Longer languages such as German can need a little more room, so a designer should glance at tight pages. PDFs are converted to editable Word or PowerPoint first; upload the source file when you have it.

How do we keep part names and product terms the same in every language?

Add them to a glossary once, with the approved translation for each language. Taia applies the glossary every time it translates, Advanced AI follows it as an instruction, and reviewers see the approved term in the editor. That is how the valve on page 3 keeps one approved name on page 40 and in next year's edition.

Does translation memory make AI translation cheaper?

No. AI translation uses credits for every word, even when the sentence is already in your translation memory. What the memory does is guide the AI toward the wording your team already approved, so there is less to fix in review. On professional per-word translation, memory matches and repetitions are billed at a discount.

Who checks the translation?

Your choice, per document. Colleagues who know the product can review and correct the AI translation in Translation Studio, and every correction goes into the translation memory attached to the project. For safety documentation and published manuals, order professional linguists: Enhanced (translator plus reviser) and Ultimate (Translation, Editing and Proofreading, TEP) follow ISO 17100.

Is our technical documentation safe with Taia?

Your content is never used to train AI models, and documents are processed in the EU (AWS eu-west-1). The trust page lists how data is stored, who can see it and which providers are involved.

What does it cost?

The Pro plan is $37.50 a month billed annually and includes 100,000 credits a month (100,000 words with Standard AI), glossaries, translation memory, Advanced AI and every file format. Professional translation by native linguists runs $0.07–0.17 per word depending on tier and language pair, with an instant quote before you order.
